Vinyl is meant to be heard on a turntable can be even more rewarding to hear in the company of others within a physical space! In this communal spirit, please join members of The Garment District at The Government Center for a first listen to "Flowers Telegraphed to All Parts of the World."

Released on September 22 by Happy Happy Birthday to Me Records based in Athens, Georgia, the new full-length Garment District album was recorded in Pittsburgh at David Klug Studio and pressed on orange vinyl by Third Man Pressing in Detroit, with the lacquers cut by Third Man mastering engineer, Warren DeFever (His Name Is Alive).

We will play the album in its entirety starting at approximately 5 PM. Along with the new LP for sale from The Government Center, The Garment District will have new merchandise for sale, including T-shirts screen-printed by Commonwealth Press and limited-edition posters on reflective oil slick paper screen-printed by RubySue Graphics; plus buttons, mini compact mirrors and previous releases.

Before and after the new LP plays, Jennifer Baron of The Garment District will share some of her favorite music with a playlist in the store.

Meet some of the band members and Jennifer's collaborators who worked on the LP, including engineer David Klug. The album artwork features illustration by Pittsburgh artist Maggie Lynn Negrete and design by Ashley Devine (YEAHYELHSA). The album's first video, "Left on Coast," was created locally in collaboration with Pittsburgh artist Nicole Czapinski.
